Kandoodhoo Old Friday Mosque was probably built during the 1700s. The mosque compound has the mosque building, a coral stone water well, small minaret and cemetery with coral stone grave markers. The mosque building has a prayer hall, one entrance stairs with dhaala and side fendas. The original mosque had a mihrab chamber. The mosque is built on a coral stone raised platform with mouldings, coral stone walls, timber ceiling and roof structure with lacquered beams, coffered ceiling on thona and central laage’. There are fine lacquered beams and wall panels.
The mosque was extensively restored during 1930s with many changes. The mihrab chamber was removed, Part of outer walls were plastered, windows were added with miskitu jaali along with a low gate. The roofing also was probably changed to metal sheets which was replaced to metal profile sheets during the 1990s.
ކަނޑޫދޫ އާސާރީ މިސްކިތް ބިނާކުރެވުނުކަމަށް ބެލެވެނީ 1700 ގެ އަހަރުތަކުގެ ތެރޭގައެވެ. މިސްކިތުގެ ގޯތިތެރޭގައި ވަނީ މިސްކިތާއި ހިރިގަލު ފެންވަޅަކާއި ކުޑަ މުންނާރަކާއި ހިރިގަލު މަހާނަގައުތަކެއް ހިމެނޭ ގަބުރުސްތާނެކެވެ. މިސްކިތުގައި ހުންނަނީ ނަމާދުކުރާ ބަޔަކާއި ވަންނަ ދިމާލުގައި ހަރުފަތްބަރިއަކާއި ދެ އަރިމަތީގައި ދެ ފެންޑާއެވެ. އަދި އުސްކޮށްފައިވާ ކުރެހުން އެޅި ހިރިގަލު ތަޅުމަކާއި ހިރިގަލު ފާރާއި ލަކުޑި ބެރިތަކާއި ލަކުޑިތޮނަތަކެއްގެ މަތީގައި ފައިދޮށްތައް ފެންނަގޮތަށް ގޮޅިގޮޅިއަށް ހުރި ފަންގިފިލައަކާއި މެދުގައި ލާގެއެއް ހުރެއެވެ. އެންމެ އިހުގެ މިސްކިތުގައި މިހުރާބުގެއެއް ހުރެއެވެ. ބެރިތަކާއި ލަކުޑީގެ ކުރެހުންތައް ހުންނަނީ ވަރަށް ފުރިހަމައަށް ލާފެންކޮށްފައެވެ.
މި މިސްކިތް 1930 ގެ އަހަރުތަކުގައި ވަރަށްބޮޑަށް މަރާމާތުކުރެވުނެވެ. އަދި މިހުރާބުގެ އުވާލައި ފާރުތަކުގައި ސިމެންތިޖަހައި މިސްކިތުޖާލިޖެހި ކުޑަދޮރުތަކަކާއި ދޮރާއްޓެއް ހަރުކުރެވުނެވެ. އަދި ފުރާޅު ޓިނަށް ބަދަލުކުރެވުނީވެސް 1900 ގެ އަހަރުތަކުގައިކަމަށް ބެލެވެއެވެ.
