Ziyaaraiy Miskiy

Ziyaaraiy Miskiy was probably built in 1400s and restored many times. The mosque compound has the mosque building and the mausoleum of Sultan Usman of Fehendhoo who was banished to Guraidhu in 1388. The mosque building has a small prayer hall, fenda on three sides, one entrance stair; tiered roof, simple coral base and coffered ceiling with laage'. It is built using coral stone or hiriga along with timber carpentry techniques for construction, but over the period of time it's integrity has been compromised by extensive remodelling. The mosque does not have fine coral carvings but the timberwork is of fine standard.
