Kandoodhoo Old Mosque was probably built during the 1700s. The mosque compound has the mosque building, a coral stone water well and cemetery with coral stone grave markers. The small mosque building has a prayer hall, one entrance stairs with dhaala. The mosque is built on a coral stone raised platform with mouldings, coral stone walls and a simple roof structure.

The mosque was restored during 1930s. Walls were added to the front and windows were added. The roofing also was probably changed to metal sheets which was replaced to metal profile sheets during the 1980s.
