Maamigili Old Mosque was probably built during the 1700s. The compound has the mosque, a cemetery and water well. The mosque building has a prayer hall, fenda on three sides, rising stairs with dhaala. It is built on a coral stone raised platform with mouldings, coral stone walls and a simple roof structure. The coral stone walls are decorated with intricate carvings, but the roof and ceiling do not have decorations. The mosque has been restored and remodelled many times in the past.
