Eid Miskiy
Male’ Eid Mosque was built in 1810 replacing an older mosque built during the reign of Sultan Imaduddin (1704-1720) and continues its use as a mosque till today. It is the last of the coral stone mosque and has the best ornamentation and craftsmanship of all the mosques in the country. Over the period of time mosque compound has been reduced drastically and extensions have been added to the mosque, but the old mosque building is retained well. The building has a prayer hall, Dhaala on 3 sides, one rising entrance stair, tiered roof, coral base with carvings and mouldings and coffered ceilings with Laage'.
މާލޭ އީދު މިސްކިތަކީ 1810 ގައި ބިނާކޮށްނިމިފައިވާ މިސްކިތެއް ހުރިތަނުގައި ފަހުން އައްސުލްތާން އިމާދުއްދީންގެ (1720-1704) ވެރިކަމުގައި ބިނާކުރެވުނު އަދި މިއަދާއި ހަމައަށްވެސް ނަމާދުކުރުމަށް ބޭނުންކުރަމުން އަންނަ މިސްކިތެކެވެ. މިއީ ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގައި އެންމެފަހުން ބިނާކުރެވުނު ހިރިގަލު މިސްކިތެވެ. އަދި ފަންނުވެރިކަމާއި މަސައްކަތްތެރިކަން ދައްކުވައިދޭ އެންމެ ފުރިހަމަ މިސާލެވެ. އެކިފަހަރުމަތިން މިސްކިތުގެ ގޯތި ކުޑަކުރެވި އަދި މިސްކިތުގެ އިމާރާތަށް އެކި ބައިބައި އިތުރުކުރެވިފައިވީނަމަވެސް އިހުގެ އިމާރާތްވަނީ ވަރަށް ރަނގަޅަށް ބެލެހެއްޓިފައެވެ. މިސްކިތުގައި ހިމެނެނީ ނަމާދުކުރާތަނަކާއި ތިން ފަރާތަށްހުރި ދާލައަކާއި ވަންނަދޮރުމަތީގައިހުރި ހަރުފަތްބަރިއަކާއި ބައިބަޔަށް ހުރި ފުރާޅަކާއި އުސްކޮށްފައިވާ ހިރިގަލުވަޑާންކުރި ތަޅުމަކާއި އަދި ލާގެއެއް ހިމެނޭގޮތަށް ގޮޅިގޮޅިއަށް ފައިދޮށްތައް ފެންނަގޮތަށް ލާފައިވާ ފަންގިފިލައެކެވެ.
