Ziyaaraiy Miskiy

Vandhoo Ziyaaraiy Mosque was probably built during the 1700s. This small mosque is dedicated to the Vandhoo Ziyaaraiy. The main compound has the mosque, main mausoleum, a cemetery and water well. The mosque and mausoleum are located within a boundary wall and a gate. The small mosque building has a prayer hall, stairs with dhaala. It is built on a coral stone raised platform with mouldings, coral stone walls and a simple roof structure. The mausoleum and mosque were probably restored during 1940s when the boundary wall and gate was added. The roofing also was probably changed to metal sheets which was replaced to metal profile sheets during the 1980s.
